We will prepare your walk pack with route descriptions and maps, clear directions to your accommodation, local information and optional rest days along the way to linger and discover little things that make your holiday special.

Accommodations

An enjoyable feature of your holiday is the great variety of character accommodation you stay in each night. We know the difference comfortable and friendly accommodation makes at the end of a long day's walking. With Celtic Trails you stay in high standards of accommodation along the way, mainly with private or en-suite facilities. Occasionally, because of the age and character of the house it may not be possible to always offer private facilities but this will not detract from the standard and comfort you can expect of the accommodation. You can choose from 2 categories of accommodation packages for your walking holiday on Offas Dyke Path Path, to suit your requirements and abilities.

Classic Service

A mixture of high standard family run Guesthouses , Farmhouses and character B&Bs and local Inns with en-suite or private facilities.

• Flexible itinerary with choice of daily distances to suit requirements.
• Walk pack, maps, guide book, local information.
• Daily luggage transfers.
• Packed lunches can be pre-booked.
• Evening meals can be ordered in house where available or had at nearby Inns or restaurants.

You can include a rest day (recommended) to add local interest to your holiday. Llangollen and Hay-on-Wye are all very interesting locations to enjoy a day off and sample local culture.

Classic Plus

You can upgrade your walking holiday accommodation to include selected high quality Country Inns, Hotels and Country Houses, with en-suite or private bathroom, a high standard of food and facilities and sometimes more formal service. ......................... It‘s your holiday treat yourself.

Tariff - Offas Dyke Path

Planning your walk
With Celtic Trails itineraries you can start on any day of the week.
You can choose to walk as many stages as you wish. If you wish to miss a stage, we will take you onto your next night's accommodation. We highly recommend you include a rest day to add local interest to your holiday. Welshpool, Llangollen or Hay-on-Wye are all places worth a day of very pleasant exploration.
We can arrange to collect you from the station if coming by train and at the end of your walk arrange transportation you to your departure point.

Celtic trails offices are located at Chepstow and Llangollen by Offa's Dyke and our local knowledge is second-to-none. Throughout your walking holiday our helpful staff and trail guides are just a phone call a way.

Car Parking.
If arriving by car you can leave your vehicle for the duration of your holiday with Celtic Trails at their premises

Transfer back to walk start.
Celtic Trails can collect you and return you to your car at the start. This is very useful if there are four or more of you and saves on the cost of train fares. If returning by train we can collect you from the nearest station.

Airport collection and return.
Celtic Trails own minibuses can collect and return you to Heathrow /Manchester / Bristol Airport. Please contact us for cost

Extend your holiday at the beginning or end of your walk with relaxing City break in two outstanding city locations.

Chester.
Stroll around the old Roman walled city of Chester with its fascinating alleyways and medieval ‘Rows’, antique shops and old buildings.

Bath.
Now a Unesco world heritage site, Bath famous for the wonderful Georgian architecture, Roman Baths is packed with places to visit.

We will book your accommodation in a choice of personally selected Hotels or town B&B’s and provide you with maps, guide book and list of places, tea rooms and restaurants, to enjoy.
